The Apple TV 4K (2nd Generation) comes with a redesigned Siri Remote that features a touch-sensitive clickpad for precise navigation and a power button to control your TV's power. This remote is only compatible with the Apple TV 4K (2nd Generation) model.

The Apple TV HD (4th Generation) is compatible with two types of remotes:

• The Siri Remote (1st Generation) - This remote features a glass Touch surface, Siri voice control, and a rechargeable battery. It is included with the Apple TV HD and can be used as a standalone remote.
• The Apple Remote (previously included with older Apple TV models) - This remote has a simpler design with a circular D-pad for navigation.

The Apple TV (3rd Generation) is compatible with the Apple Remote, which uses IR (infrared) technology for communication. This remote has a simple and minimalist design with basic navigation buttons.
